Walking with Friends depicts an imagined woodland scene with a female figure moving through trees, surrounded by a stag, fox, badger, hedgehog and a barn owl in flight. The palette is gentle, warm and earthy, creating an atmospheric sense of stillness and quiet movement through the landscape.

Each animal is portrayed as an individual presence within the composition, rather than part of a generalised group. Subtle blending of brushwork allows forms to soften into one another and into the surrounding environment, creating a gentle sense of interconnectedness without losing their distinct character.
